Information regarding the closure on St Barnabas Road.
The carriageway is being resurfaced.
Removal of the existing surface will take place on December 18th and then the new surface will be laid on December 19th. Reinstatement of the lining will be carried out on December 20th.
On December 18th and 19th the road is to be closed from 07:30 to 17:30 hrs (times are approximate) due to the narrow width to ensure the safety of both the workforce and residents.
What about Access?
Access to properties will be maintained but parking on the road will not be permitted as large machinery will be being used.
Some inconvenience will be unavoidable and access to some properties may be restricted when the new surface is being laid as it needs time to harden before traffic can use it. This disruption will be kept to a minimum and the works will be completed as soon as possible.
